How do you raise Crowd Favor in Chained Beasts?

Finish downed enemies with executions to win the crowd's approval, and pick up different weapons to throw for Variety. Environmental attacks are another way to mix up a melee routine when your Variety rating is low.

  1. Create a knockdown. A chain trip can leave an enemy open for damage and an execution.
  2. Check the space around the target. If another enemy is close, have a partner cover your approach so you have room for the animation.
  3. Execute the downed enemy. Take the opening when you can finish safely, rather than chasing the execution into nearby opponents.

The Emperor's arena: chained gladiators finish enemies amid scattered weapons and bodies.

Between those openings, grab weapons you find and throw them. One player improved Variety by picking up whatever they found and throwing it, while their partner stuck to weapons and a shield. If you keep repeating the same attacks, a weapon throw gives you a concrete change to try. For equipment choices, see Chained Beasts weapons.

Leave room for the execution animation. Nearby enemies can threaten your position while you commit to the finish, so a partner covering you is more useful than both players rushing the same opening. Coordinate that approach with Chained Beasts co-op.

How do you read the Crowd Favor scorecard?

Read Variety, Tempo, and Carnage separately after a fight, then choose a specific combat change for the next round. The results also include health lost, rewards, and a Crowd Favorite marker.

Make a small adjustment you can repeat. Adding a throw is easier to carry into the next fight than trying to overhaul your whole routine at once. Keep an eye on health lost too: an execution that leaves you exposed has a cost even when you're playing to the crowd. For more on setting up safe openings, continue with Chained Beasts tips.

What do Crowd Favorite and On a Roll give you?

As Crowd Favorite, you can receive weapons thrown by spectators; with On a Roll, a kill while the crowd is going wild grants 4 seconds of invulnerability. The invulnerability belongs to that skill and requires both the crowd state and a kill.

One player received a mace from the crowd and got hit by the incoming weapon. Treat spectator assistance as something to watch for during the fight, rather than a reason to stop paying attention to the arena.

Choose On a Roll when you can secure kills during the crowd's going-wild state. If you rely on it for defense, plan around both conditions: the crowd state alone does not trigger the effect. Work that choice into your Chained Beasts best build.

You now have a repeatable approach: create safe execution openings, add throws for Variety, and use the result screen to pick your next adjustment. Carry that routine into the next fight before committing to more ambitious finishes.
